To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, today we are giving a voice to intersex women by publishing the report we submitted to the Council of Europe and in particular to the Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO).
The report “Violence against Intersex Women in Greece“ aims to highlight the current situation of intersex women in our country and to propose specific recommendations on issues of prevention, protection and support regarding the violence suffered by intersex women.
The primary data collection is based on complaints received by Intersex Greece from intersex women and girls. These complaints relate to cases of violence against them, which mainly occur in medical settings.
